Genny & Luke | Belle Isle Engagement

I met Genny and Luke on a Sunday morning at sunrise for their Belle Isle engagement session in Richmond Virginia. Being that they had to make a trip from Boston, this would be our first time meeting in person. They were so easygoing and friendly, and I knew instantly we were going to have a lot of fun! It was such a beautiful morning, and I’m so glad we all agreed to wake up bright and early for their session. Enjoy some of my favorite images from their belle isle engagement!

Kind Words From The Couple

My fiancé and I booked Emily to photograph our September 2020 wedding and just had our engagement session. We could not be more impressed! Our engagement session was at 6 am on a Sunday to catch the sunrise, and although my fiancé and I were sleep and caffeine-deprived, Emily was an actual superwoman! She patiently talked us through the poses we wanted and helped us loosen up. She is a true artist and collaborated with me to bring my ideas to life. We have worked with other photographers before and having such an easy-going, can-do attitude at 6 am on a weekend is a rarity. Emily Bartell is one in a million!
