I met Georgia and Philip on a late November day for their Virginia State Capitol engagement session. It was so much fun getting to know these two while spending a beautiful afternoon in the city.

Georgia and Philip both went to VCU. They met in 2014 right before Georgia went to study abroad in Italy. The distance was a test for their budding relationship, but they made it through and have been together ever since!

Last November they traveled to Italy to visit Georgia’s parents. One evening during a walk around Florence, Philip suddenly got down on one knee right in front of a beautiful church, which unbeknownst to Philip, was the church Georgia grew up attending and had so many childhood memories in. “It was more perfect than I could ever imagine.”

During their free time Georgia and Philip love boating, canoeing, swimming and cooking together.

Georgia says that Philip is “the most perfect balance of driven and fun. He is very giving in a way that I strive to be. I feel so lucky to be with him.”

Philip says Georgia “will always put others before herself, and I find that so admirable. She never stops amazing me.”
