I met Blair and Andy at Alturia Farm for their engagement session on a gorgeous Spring day. The light and weather could not have been more perfect! I enjoyed getting to know these two and sharing some laughs together as we explored the venue and all of the wonderful backdrops it has to offer.

Blair and Andy met in high school where they took a World Studies class together. He was a senior and she was a sophomore. With a little encouragement from a mutual friend, Blair asked Andy to a dance that year. After many text messages, phone calls, and a few more dates they became close friends. During Andy’s senior prom, he asked Blair to the dance and to make their relationship official.

After high school Andy went to Old Dominion University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. During this time they would only see each other on the weekends. When Blair graduated high school she knew she wanted to study physical therapy, and ODU had one of the best Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in the state, so choosing to enroll was only natural.

Last summer Andy purchased a house, where he pictured starting a life with Blair. Together they began to make the house their own, with fresh paint on the walls and new decor to match their taste. One night during the holiday season Andy surprised Blair with a proposal at their home under the Christmas lights with Champagne and white roses.
