One of my favorite collaborations has been with Kelsea Dayberry. She is the creative mind behind Radiant Reflection, a premier hair and makeup artistry studio. Kelsea is a visionary who uses her talents to transform her clients and elevate their confidence.
I met Kelsea early on in my career and as our businesses have grown, had the pleasure of working with her on various weddings and editorials. I have done several branding shoots for her, but this is by far, my favorite session.
She believes people’s personalities are amplified when they feel like the best version of themselves. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of capturing Kelsea’s artistry in various weddings and editorials, each session a unique reflection of her brand’s essence.
This time, it was especially wonderful to turn the lens on Kelsea herself. Capturing her beauty, her grace, and the spirit of her brand was an incredible experience, and it was so rewarding to see her shine in front of the camera.
Kelsea has been specializing in bridal beauty for over 8 years and loves to create hair and makeup looks which look effortless. With soft skin like finishes and airy hairstyles being her favorite to create, we chose a simple, classic look for her session.
Setting the Tone through props
Kelsea, has a deep love for fresh blooms and shared how she carried these beautiful flowers from Field Floral around Maymont, wishing it was socially acceptable to do so in real life! She describes fresh blooms as her equivalent of an iced coffee, providing the moral support and mood boost she sometimes needs.
Certainly inspired by this sentiment, we decided to incorporate these vibrant flowers into her branding photo session to capture that sense of upliftment and positivity.
