Allison is a Realtor who contacted me because she was interested in headshots, but also wanted to incorporate branding images for her home staging business as an Interior Designer. I was instantly intrigued and scheduled a call with her to discuss her needs and desires. We had a wonderful conversation, and learned that we have a lot of things in common. I was so excited to see her work in person and get started on her branding session.

Allison’s ideal client is a seller or buyer who is looking for a new home and wants a Realtor to bring their visions to life. She described her style as visionary, bohemian, warm and inviting. She expressed how she wanted to promote a lifestyle that permeates the meaning of “home” with high end finishing touches. She wanted images to tell the story of her multi-faceted business – She is not only a Realtor, but also uses her background in design to help her client’s homes become elevated and change the way they live.

In addition to keeping up with interior design, Allison enjoys reading and being on the water with her family. Locations that inspire her include the Quirk Hotel and some of the Historic and bespoke homes in the Fan/Museum district of Richmond. She loves spaces that have a story you can feel when you enter the room.

Allison desired a mix of business and casual headshots, both posed and lifestyle, in order to help build her brand. In addition she requested photos of the interior spaces in her own home which she has designed: the kitchen, living room, one of her bathrooms and wet bar.

When I arrived at Allison’s home I was immediately welcomed, and after chatting a bit, took some time to look around and finalize plans for the session. We started with indoor portraits in her kitchen and living room. Then, while she changed into her second outfit, I photographed the interior spaces. Finally we headed outdoors to an open field nearby for some casual portraits. She even included her dog, River, which helped to personalize her images.
