Sydney & Josh met in May of 2018 right after graduating from their Masters program. They quickly became close friends and have been together officially since February 2019! Josh proposed to Sydney at Georgetown waterfront which is where they had their first date. He surprised her by saying they were going out for drinks, but instead he pulled Sydney aside and proposed! Afterwords he took Sydney to a surprise engagement party at his parents’ house where he had friends from out of town come.

For their special day, Sydney & Josh got married in early October of 2021 in the historic Italian Gardens at Maymont Park in Richmond Virginia. Sydney and her bridesmaids got ready in a luxurious airbnb near their ceremony location while Josh and his groomsmen got dressed and shared a toast before the ceremony on site.

Josh was filled with excitement and tears of joy from the moment the ceremony began. He stood in awe of his stunning bride as she made her way down the aisle alongside her father. The ceremony was filled with joy and emotion, as they read to each other the heartfelt vows they had written.

After the ceremony, the bride and groom and their guests made their way to another Richmond landmark, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts for a brunch reception. The happy couple and their guests danced and laughed the whole afternoon. They ended their Maymont & VMFA Wedding celebration with a bubble send-off as they smiled from ear-to-ear.
