From the charming magnolia leaf bouquets, to the soft colors and timeless touches, Abigail and Cody’s elegant southern wedding was one for the books!
Abigail and Cody met at a wedding in 2014. They wrote letters to each other while she was studying abroad in Germany and started dating shorty after she returned. Their relationship had been mostly long distance, attending school in separate states. They longed for the day they could finally be married and live together in the same place!
Cody and Abigail were set to be married this past May amidst ongoing and ever changing COVID restrictions. With each of them having such demanding schedules, there was no option to postpone. Instead they decided to have two wedding events, each with separate guest lists, so they could include all of their family and friends on their special day.
The first ceremony was held at Asbury United Methodist Church in Dinwiddie and the reception at Abigail’s family farm a few miles down the road. After their exit from the first reception, Abigail and Cody enjoyed a small break and then got ready for the second ceremony, also held at the family farm by the lake. Afterwards they enjoyed a second round of dining and danced the night away with their guests.
It was such a privilege to take part in Abigail and Cody’s special day, and I wish them a lifetime full of love and happiness.
